"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 03, Episode 16, Urgo
9/10

Excited to explore what the M.A.L.P. reports to be a tropical paradise SG-1 steps through the Stargate only to re emerge from it back at SGC in what to them felt like an instant but was reported to have been hours. A medical examination showed an anomaly in their brains in the exact same spot, and soon all four members of SG-1 start acting strange and witnessing an individual who isn't there.
This episode has a few new bits of information, mostly that there exists alien species or humans out in the universe who like a Venus fly trap tricks visitors into coming to their world with appealing feedback to their exploratory equipment, then snatch up anyone who steps through.
It is fortunate for SG-1 that this particular incident was benign if annoying. The species/people introduced in this episode will not return outside possible clip shows.
This episode also features a guest appearance of Dom DeLuise who plays the self aware probe as well as the creator of the probe, and the Director Peter DeLuise who features as a disguise option for the probe if SG-1 was unhappy with his appearance. I normally do not enjoy having the director appearing in front of the camera, but when it's as innocently done as this then I permit it.
The plot is okay and only lowered by the lack of general plot advancement in the grand scheme of the Stargate universe, acting talent is excellent, the effects are good.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
