"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 03, Episode 15, Pretense

As a consequence of a Goa'uld Death Glider being shot down and crashed on the new Tollan home world, the Tollan summon SG-1 to assist in the trial concerning ownership of the host body to Skaara.
This episode introduces several things, amongst other things that the Tollan are technologically capable of building their own Stargate in a slimmer and more stream-lined form.
The Tollan have been introduced before, but I think it interesting to point out that their architecture and fashion of clothing are both very clean cut and practical in form, and muted in colour.
The first true introduction in this episode is the Tollan version of Justice; Triad. A culturally different but essentially similar to the basic legal system in practise across Earth.
The second introduction is that the Tollan possess devices which can temporarily disable any kind of weapon.
The third introduction is a device fastened to a Goa'uld host, informing those who see it of which is in control; host or Goa'uld.
The fourth introduction is that the Tollan have Ion Cannons capable of penetrating the shields of and destroy Goa'uld Ha'tak ships with minor effort. These are spread across the planet, and only one is needed to destroy a hostile ship. But as they are peaceful, the Tollan are hesitant in firing them.
The fifth introduction is that the Goa'uld possess the technology to mark a specific location without leaving a visible mark for anyone to find. It is possible the marking takes the form of mapping the land on a targeting computer and not on the target.
The plot is good, the acting talent is good, the effects are good.
