"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 01, Episode 19, There But for the Grace of God

Upon exploring another world, Doctor Jackson comes across a small treasure trove of archaeological finds which a long extinct alien race had gathered in their own explorations through the Stargate, and while examining them Teal'c finds a marker placed by Goa'uld signifying that the planet has been rendered uninhabitable and unsafe and is adamant that they leave. Jackson does not give up so easily and begins loading his backpack only to discover a mirror which did not show his image. Curious, he touched it and found that his team was gone.

This episode first shows the existence of alternate universes or realities with only slight differences. It is quite frustrating for the man who doesn't know he has travelled to another reality, having so much incorrect information.

The plot is good, the acting talent is good, and the effects are understated as usual with more physical and pyrotechnics than digital.
