"Firefly" Review Season 01, Episode 05, Safe
8/10

Directed By: Michael Grossman
When the sale of a herd of cattle takes a violent turn, the crew of the Serenity find themselves lacking one Doctor and his sister, and with the Shepard injured they need to find medical assistance elsewhere.
This episode is the first one to give some clue as to the true ability of River, as she divines truths she should have no manner of discovering, yet is incapable of keeping secret.
It also raises a few more questions about the true identity and past of Shepard Booke.
The flashbacks provide insight into the past of Doctor Tam and River.
The plot is simple and good. The acting talent is competent. The effects are understated yet not glaringly obvious.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
