"X-Men" Review
7/10
2000
A Bryan Singer Film
Protagonist(s): Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin
Antagonist(s): Ian McKellen, Ray Park, Rebecca Romjin, Tyler Mane
Run-time: 1 hour 44 minutes
When two mutants are attacked by a group of mutants and saved by another group, things become wild and exciting.
For those familiar with the Marvel Universes plenty of the facts presented in this film will be familiar. For those who haven't yet been initiated or introduced to the Marvel Comic books this is a good base introduction.
The effects are excellent, the base plot is simple with a few tangents revolving around it to add complexity, the acting talent is solid but not excellent.
There are obvious costume changes, which is mentioned in passing by a character as a joke; "Would you prefer yellow spandex?" Times change and so does expectations in costume fashion, this is a more contemporary selection and offers some extra padding against hits and falls.
I recommend this film for Marvel enthusiasts. DC enthusiasts can sit down and watch Adam West try to stay warm in an ever slimming beam of heat within a very cold room.
Reviewing different things; food, films, music, books, games etc. It is said that those who can't do; teach. Those who can't teach; critique.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
