"TMNT" Review

"TMNT" Review

9/10

2007
A Kevin Munroe Film
Protagonist(s): Sarah Michelle Gellar, Chris Evans, Patrick Stewart, Nolan North, James Arnold Taylor, Mikey Kelley, Mitchell Whitfield, Mako Iwamatsu
Run-time: 1 hour 27 minutes

When ancient force awakens and starts causing trouble in New York they draw the attention of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the normal martial arts are kicked up a notch.

I remember that as a prepubescent boy I would buy every issue of the TMNT comic books I could find. It therefore didn't take me long to discover this film, and I loved nearly everything about it.

The animation might be somewhat cartoonish, but the lighting and texture are very convincing. The plot is fairly straight forwards, with one or two plot twists to wrap around it. The acting talent is acceptable.

I recommend this film to any other former child who rushed to the shops as soon as they knew the next issue was supposed to come out.
