10/10

1954
Written By: John Ronald Reuel Tolkien
Published By: George Allen & Unwin
Protagonist(s): Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck, Peregrin Took, Gandalf the Grey, Aragorn, Gimly, Legolas, Boromir

When the cave-dwelling creature Gollum is captured by the forces of Sauron he reveals the surname and region of the Hobbit who last had the One Ring. Frodo Baggins must set out on a quest to keep the Ring from Sauron.

I cannot go too much into detail lest I spoil the experience of the reader, but this book is filled with adventure and suspense. It is a little heavy and old fashioned in its writing, so the less experienced reader is advised to have some patience and push through because this book is definitely worth the lulls when you read through the highs.

I recommend this book for any Fantasy genre fiction enthusiast.
