"Stargate Atlantis" Review

"Stargate Atlantis" Review

9/10

2004
Created By: Robert C Cooper and Brad Wright
Protagonist(s): Joe Flanigan, Rachel Luttrell, David Hewlett, Jason Momoa, Torri Higginson, Paul McGillion, Jewel Staite
Seasons on Air: 5
Episode Run-time: 45 minutes

When an International team of explorers travel through a super charged stargate to another galaxy in search of the Lost City of Atlantis they get in over their head when they are attacked by an alien species with vampire-like method of feeding, and who favour humans as their food.

While the expedition is a bit more technologically advanced than the original series they are still not entirely up to speed with the alien technology with which they are forced to interact. So they stumble a bit and despite best efforts can't maintain diplomatic ties.

I enjoy this series as I did the previous one for the contemporary people dealing with technology so advanced that it apparently flies in the face of the laws of physics.

This series overlaps with the timeline of SG-1 for the first two or three seasons.

If you enjoyed Stargate SG-1 then you will like this.
