"Gung Ho" Review
8/10
1986
A Ron Howard Film
Protagonist(s): Michael Keaton, Gedde Watanabe
Antagonist(s): Sab Shimono
Run-time: 1 hour 52 minutes
When an American Car Factory is purchased by a Japanese Company the work force is forced to deal with more changes in the name of cost efficiency and product quality than they are willing to accept.
The cultural aspects of this film is actually a good indicator of the difference in morale between Western and Eastern workers. In the West we expect the work place to adapt to our needs and wants. In the East they do their best to promote their workplace.
As I haven't experienced the differences, I cannot say with absolute certainty that this is how it would be, but I feel that the film is fairly accurate in its rendition of responses and counter responses, cause and effect.
It is also a sort of 'buddy' film, where two parties are unfriendly to start and develop into friendship.
My favourite quote from the film is near the end; "I like you. You make me laugh."
I recommend this film.
Reviewing different things; food, films, music, books, games etc. It is said that those who can't do; teach. Those who can't teach; critique.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
