"Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" Review

"Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" Review

7/10

1977
A George Lucas Film
Protagonist(s): Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, Anthony Daniels
Antagonist(s): Peter Cushing, David Prowse, James Earl Jones
Run-time: 2 hours 1 minutes

When farmboy and aspiring pilot Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamil) is tasked with cleaning the newly purchased droids for the moisture farm he ends up with far more trouble and danger than he anticipated.

If you haven't already see this film; shame on you.

The niggles I have with the prequel trilogy still applies. Sound in space is the major niggle.

For the period it was made the effects are impressive and in several cases innovative.

The plot good, yet is transferrable from space and planets to the ocean and islands, and you would have a decent pirate-navy film.

I recommend this film for any science fiction enthusiast.
