"Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" Review
7/10
2002
A George Lucas Film
Protagonist(s): Ewan McGreggor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Frank Oz, Anthony Daniels, Samuel Leroy Jackson
Antagonist(s): Ian McDiarmid, Christopher Lee
Run-time: 2 hours 22 minutes
It has been ten year since the incident in orbit around and on the surface of Naboo. Amidala (Natalie Portman) has a threat to her life due to her views in the Senate and Anakin (Hayden Christensen) is set to protect her while Obi-Wan (Ewan McGreggor) investigates the assassin.
The niggles are the same as in the previous films. In short; the existence of prequels, useless characters and sound in apparent vacuum.
The acting skills are passable in most cases, strong enough to support the weaker talents. The fighting sequences are entertaining, but the battle tactics seem to be close to non-existent until the arrival of the clone soldiers which is odd considering the Jedi are trained to fight individually and as teams.
The effects are awesome, but as demonstrated in numerous other films it is often more believable if the effects aren't entirely digital but physical tricks. The actors need to imagine what they are seeing on the large green stage, which isn't quite as effective as when they see what happens.
I still recommend the film.
Reviewing different things; food, films, music, books, games etc. It is said that those who can't do; teach. Those who can't teach; critique.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
