"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" Review
10/10
2003
A Gore Verbinski Film
Protagonist(s): Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightly
Antagonist(s): Geoffrey Rush
Run-time: 2 hours 23 minutes
When noted pirate Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) steps onto the docks at Port Royal with the intent of pilfering a ship, he sets in motion events which have been eight or so years in the making.
Based on the Disney Land adventure ride "Pirates of the Caribbean" and supposedly influenced by the "Monkey Island" game series, this is an entertaining film.
The antics of Johnny Depp offset what would otherwise have been quite a serious film of the undead and lawless. The effects are very believable, with the exception of the common examples of Hollywood physics.
I would recommend this film for any evening of adventure.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
