A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Gamer" Review

9/10

2009
A Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor Film
Protagonist(s): Gerard Butler, Logan Lerman
Antagonist(s): Michael Carlyle Hall
Run-time: 1 hour 36 minutes

In a not too distant future humanity is no longer satisfied with digital carnage and have developed a means of digital puppetry which controls specific persons in arenas of violence or entertainment. But there will always be someone who abuses a set system.

This film shows the course on which our current civilization is headed, as happened with several others in the past; blood sports and murder as entertainment for the masses. The life or death of a 'gladiator' decided at the whim of the audience or master. And as always happens in those cases the enslaved rebel.

While the chaotic editing may be confusing, the plot is solid and supported by the action and effects. The acting talent is balanced out between mediocre and talented.

I recommend this film for any science fiction enthusiast.
