"Die Hard 4.0" Review

"Die Hard 4.0" Review

9/10

2007
A Len Wiseman Film
Protagonist(s): Bruce Willis, Justin Long, Cliff Curtis, Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Antagonist(s): Timothy Olyphant, Maggie Denise Quigley
Run-time: 2 hours 8 minutes

When a series of known hackers are killed in explosions, John McClane (Bruce Willis)is sent to pick up one of them for questioning. As is normal for him things do not go well and he is thrown into a plot of technological terrorism.

How is it possible that the same man plays a very similar violent role in not one, not two, not three but four terrorist plots in an ever growing scale?

I'm not complaining, it is merely a question.

The action has escalated, as has the technological complexity, requiring a tech savvy young man to explain and dumb down in a diplomatic manner.

My favourite line in the entire film; "I was out of bullets."

As with the preceding films the scale of the terror has escalated. The first involved only one tower block office building. The second involved an airport. The third involved one city. This one covers large portions of the East Coast.

I recommend this film for any guys' film night.
