"Bruce Almighty" Review

"Bruce Almighty" Review

9/10

2003
A Tom Shadyac Film
Protagonist(s): Jim Carrey, Morgan Freeman, Jennifer Aniston
Run-time: 1 hour 41 minutes

When News Reporter Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) has hit a rough patch in his life he blames God in a series of blasphemous remarks and curses. Finally God (Morgan Freeman) has had enough and summons him with the challenge of doing a better job.

This film is the perfect balance between Crazy Comedy and Drama. Jim Carrey's witty antics are balanced out by the calm and collected appearance of Morgan Freeman

It shows that one should be careful about granting wishes, and rather than going for a quick and easy solution one should make small efforts in everyday life to make the world a better place, causing a ripple effect which will spread.

It is a classic tale of improvement of character, done with the classic Jim Carrey flair.

I recommend this film for any night.
