"Yes, Prime Minister" Review

"Yes, Prime Minister" Review

9/10

1986
Created by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn
Protagonist(s): Paul Eddington, Nigel Hawthorne, Derek Fowlds
Seasons on Air: 2
Episode Run-time: 30 minutes

When the Prime Minister suddenly decides to retire, there is a wild scramble to figure out who will replace him, but as democracy is more of a guideline the Civil Service decide to promote the house-trained Minister for the Department of Administrative Affairs for the vacant position.

The series is marked as Political Satire, and I am forced to agree. The series is an extention of Yes Minister, but at a higher level with far greater potential fallout from mistakes and errors.

As it is an extention, it is included under my statement of being among my favourite series.

You will learn as much about politics in this as in Yes Minister, so anyone who studies the Political sciences is advised to watch this.
