"The Long Kiss Goodnight" Review

"The Long Kiss Goodnight" Review

8/10

1996
A Renny Harlin Film
Protagonist(s): Geena Davis, Samuel Leroy Jackson
Antagonist(s): Craig Bierko
Run-time: 2 hours 1 minute

When an amnesiac woman's quest for her former identity goes sour, things turn out to be far more sinister than she thought.

The question of an unknown past is similar to the orphans' wondering if their parents were good or bad; would one like the findings of the search or should one be happy with what one has and discontinue the hunt?

The transition between amnesiac personality and original personality is sudden, but then merge into a fairly happy blend.

The acting skills and effects are good, and the slightly weak plot is shored up with flashes of skin and dark comedy. The physics, on the other hand, do not work as intended. But that's Hollywood, where things should look right rather than being accurate.

I recommend this film for a night with friends.
