"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Review

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Review

8/10

2003
Written By: Joanne K Rowling
Published By: Bloomsbury, Arthur A. Levine Books, Scholastic Press, Raincoast Books
Protagonist(s): Harry Potter

This book follows Harry Potter through his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. New decrees make it difficult to do anything without breaking laws, and Harry is the intended target.

This book is the first item I ever pre-ordered. And by this time I had managed to drag my father along with reading the series, so when it was released we both got our books and I had a near marathon reading, finishing within thirty hours after purchase.

That being said, while the book is good it has lost some indefinable quality along the three year wait for its release. And certain events, while understandable and logical are also regrettable and disappointing.

I still recommend the book.
