"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" Review

"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" Review

8/10

1999
Written By: Joanne K Rowling
Published By: Bloomsbury, Arthur A. Levine Books, Scholastic Press, Raincoast Books
Protagonist(s): Harry Potter

This book follows Harry Potter through his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An escaped mass murderer is after him, and the creatures surrounding the school for the students' protection seem drawn to him.

This is where the series starts turning dark. How can it not with demonic creatures who suck souls out of people being attracted to the cheerful nature of young students? It also demonstrates that government officials are willing to overlook minor infractions of the law, yet not investigate large infractions.

This is the third book in the series of seven (not including the three smaller booklets).

I've read this book three times, and while it doesn't improve with each reading it doesn't get any worse.
