When a Jamaican Sprinter has an accident on the try-outs for the Summer Olympics and misses his opportunity, he discovers that there are not only other sports but another Olympics, and that one of the more famous performers of one Winter Olympics sport runs a local bar. He now has a quest to enter the Olympics and form the first Jamaican Bobsled team.
Based on a true story, this film is a true Buddy film where everyone hates one another to start with and ends up as close knit friends. It is also a film of Growth, as they realize that some of their ideals may have been incompatible with them.
I can't count the number of times I watched this film in my younger teens, I found it very amusing to see people incapable of imagining cold weather and incapable of moving across a patch of ice without falling.
The performance might be a little strained at times, but for the most part the acting talent is acceptable.
I recommend this film for any season or occasion as it is very child friendly and still suited for adults.
