"Double Dexter" Review

"Double Dexter" Review

8/10

2011
Written By: Jeff Lindsay
Protagonist(s): Dexter Morgan

After being seen during his night time fun, Dexter becomes the victim of a psychotic vigilante who goes to extremes to frame him for the crimes he commits on a regular basis.

While the style of narration has not changed, the danger of being discovered and put away as the monster he is becomes more real than ever before thanks to the work of a copycat killer who had seen him at play.

A series of circumstances lead to unfounded accusations thrown at Dexter from a professional and a romantic direction, and regardless of how true the accusations are the accusers have no solid evidence of his guilt.

The new methods of murder and mayhem are fascinating and horrifying, even if the plot follows the general pattern of the previous books. And it is interesting to see Dexter developing in an emotional way.

Though it must be said that the resolution of the problem seems a little convenient.

I recommend this book to those who have read the previous five, and recommend those who watched the series to start reading the books.
