A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Dexter by Design" Review

"Dexter by Design" Review

8/10

2009
Written By: Jeff Lindsay
Protagonist(s): Dexter Morgan

When Dexter returns from his Honeymoon in Paris, France, corpses start cropping up in Miami; posed in oddly casual manners and containing strange collections of items in their empty cavities. The investigation takes a bad turn, and Dexter finds himself the focus of attention from a deranged designer.

While the casual first person wit and observational commentary continues to entertain, the pattern of the book series is starting to become rather predictable.

Spoiler: In short; Dexter somehow attracts the attention of the villain of the story through his extracurricular moonlit activities, and must find a way of keeping the rest of the world from finding out that he is a serial killer before the villain somehow reveals it or kills him or both.

The book revolves around art and various modern definitions of the term in conjunction with death and dismemberment.

If you have read the previous books, I heartily recommend this book. If you haven't read the previous books, I recommend you do.
