Fairly strong in all senses of the word, with a spicy aftertaste which only lingers for a few moments.
While it can be consumed in good old Pirates of the Caribbean fashion; neat, I would recommend mixing it with five parts or more of cola, or at the very least add ice.
On its own, there is no mistaking this for anything other than an alcoholic beverage, and it takes a strong constitution or hardened belly not to become light headed after three shots.
The bottle and manufacturer shares my warning; drink responsibly.
