"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 04, Episode 06, Window of Opportunity
9/10

After a troubling encounter with a man on a planet experiencing solar flares, Colonel O'Neill and Teal'c suddenly find themselves back on Earth. Things transpire as they already had, yet only the two members of SG-1 have any knowledge of what happens next.
This episode is one of my favourites, simply because of the Groundhog Day theme of reliving events. Much as Bill Murray in the aforementioned film, they relive the same day (or more accurately the same ten hours) over and over again.
The technology introduced has not been perfected, as pointed out in the plot. But there is a limit to the range of the time travel effects, forming a bubble of subspace around an area of space. Within the bubble, time loops, but not outside.
A far improved time travel device will appear later in the series. The progress both Jack and Teal'c made in understanding the Ancient language seems to be undone after this episode.
The plot is goofy but entertaining, the effects are good, and the acting talent is excellent.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
