"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 03, Episode 04, Legacy

8/10

After discovering the long deceased bodies of a group of Goa'uld rebels, Doctor Jackson starts getting visions and halucinations, seeing the corpses or the Stargate event horizon in various combinations to start with, but soon start turning violent.

This episode introduces the concept of Ascension, though that word is not used. The term used it more along the lines of using technology to change into beings of energy.

The 'mental illness' Doctor Jackson experiences is a side effect from being exposed to one of Ma'chello's Goa'uld killing devices when not in possession of a Goa'uld. The device is disguised as a page turning device for the Goa'uld tablets, each containing ten doses.

Other than the information of the existence of a rogue group of Goa'uld, and the aforementioned points, there is little new information.

The plot is good, the acting talent is good, the effects are good.
