A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Assassin's Creed: Renaissance" Review

"Assassin's Creed: Renaissance" Review

9/10

2009
Written By: Oliver Bowden
Published By: Penguin Books
Protagonist(s): Ezio Auditore da Firenze

In the late fifteenth century, Ezio Auditore; a minor Florentine nobleman is witness to the wrongful execution of his father and brothers. What began as a quest for revenge soon evolves into something grander than he had imagined.

The book was released mere days after the release of 'Assassin's Creed II', and for the most part it follows the plot of the game. There are some adjustments, such as following a more credible and coherent order of events and consequences. One also gets a better sense of the time which passes from beginning to end. There are some additions and changes, but nothing over which to get upset.

It is entertaining from beginning to end, even when the tone of the entertainment varies from humorous to gripping to serious.

The style of writing is very well balanced between scene description and dialogue, painting a lifelike image before the mind's eye.

I recommend this book for those who have played and enjoyed the games, and those who have not.
