When SG-1 arrives on the planet Hanka to study a black hole during an eclipse, they find the entire population and the SG team stationed there dead from what appears to be a plague. After being cleared, they discover one survivor hidden in the bushes near some of the dead. A theory forms that the SGC caused this in some way, similar to how the common cold ravaged the Native Americans when they were visited by the Europeans.

This is one of the few cases where it is considered that the people of Earth might be deadly to other humans simply because our bacteria have evolved in a different way to which the other humans have not adapted.

It is also the introduction to the Goa'uld Nirrti by reputation, and the means which a Goa'uld may employ to dispose of an enemy, not unlike the Trojan Horse. It is needless to say that the SGC will harbor some form of resentment towards this Goa'uld.

The survivor is a girl named Cassandra, and she will reappear periodically even if she is portrayed by three different actresses based on her age at the time.

The plot is good, the acting talent is acceptable, and the effects are understated but well executed.
