"Iron Man 3" Review

"Iron Man 3" Review

10/10

2013
A Shane Black Film
Protagonist(s): Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ty Simpkins
Antagonist(s): Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale
Run-time: 2 hours 10 minutes

Following the alien invasion in New York, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is plagued with nightmares and a paralysing fear of death. To distract him from his sleepless nights and fears, he busies himself with making suits. When a terrorist known as the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) robs him of his vast resources, Tony struggles but still has his most important tool; his mind, and he is dead set on discovering the man's location so he can kill him. What he finds is very disconcerting.

It is very amusing to see what Tony Stark can accomplish with the barest of tools at his disposal, and to see that even with his brilliance not everything goes smoothly.

We also see at least one example of the Trojan horse working even in our modern age.

The film follows the "Avengers" film, and shows that even though the heroes won there is still a price paid for the victory. A heavy toll on the mind and soul from the danger lurking in the dark.

I recommend this film for any Marvel fan.
