"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 01, Episode 06, Cold Lazarus

While exploring a seemingly unpopulated world, Colonel O'Neill is knocked unconscious by the energy from a crystal life form. In a desperate move to protect itself and its kind, the crystal mimics O'Neill's appearance to return to Earth where he might find something to help the unconscious man with his pain.
This is the first time SG-1 encounters aliens other than the Goa'uld, and it is a fairly interesting race. Unfortunately nothing is heard from them in the future.
Some of O'Neill's back story is elaborated in this episode. But I must reveal that very little is repeated later in the series other than announcing that he has lost his son, so he can identify with the pain of various people.
The plot is mostly sentimental but good, the acting talent is good, the special effects are more elaborate than normal.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
