"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 01, Episode 05, First Commandment
8/10

When a commanding member of an SG unit is worshipped as a God by the local cave dwellers on a world with high UV radiation, he starts believing it and punishes those who defy his will. After a transmitted access code with no incoming traveller, SG-1 is sent to investigate.
"I am the Lord, your God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
Many play at being God, tampering with forces they should not. But few honestly believe they are divine. Messengers, most definitely, but not divine.
One thing pointed out in this episode is that the more insane a soldier proves to be, the more insane circumstances they will be put into.
The plot is somewhat intricate for the time allotted, the acting talent is acceptable, the special effects are mostly physical, with a few wormholes, staff weapon blasts and an energy shield.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
