A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

Crime Lord Adelei Niska gets wind of Serenity being nearby, and in the name of revenge abducts Captain Reynolds and Wash. Now the crew of Serenity has to try and get them out before the vicious old man kills them.

The central theme of the episode is that Wash feels left out of the special bond between his wife and the Captain, carved out from years of fighting side-by-side in the war, and he takes steps to try and include himself in such a bond.

This episode is the first real clue as to how dangerous River can be when in the right mindset. Normally her world is a mess of chaos, darkness and stray thoughts, but when it clears she is playful or lethal depending on the situation.

On a smaller note this is also the episode where Inara confirms that she handles clients regardless of gender, much to the surprise of the crew. To quote Jayne: "I'll be in my bunk."
