When Ted is fed up with a chatty security guard, he is convinced by Veronica to try and change him by informing him that he talks too much. Veronica uses the same approach on Lem and Phil, trying to get them to present a new Public Announcement system without getting too geeky or technical. Linda is shocked to hear that she was seen as a clingy woman.
Tolerance is the theme of the episode. It is not right to expect everyone to change to accommodate you, even if that it what would be preferable to most everyone.
