"Twins" Review
8/10
1988
An Ivan Reitman Film
Protagonist(s): Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito
Antagonist(s): Marshall Bell
Run-time: 1 hour 43 minutes
It has long been the aspiration of science to engineer the perfect human by mixing the best aspects of great men, and nurturing them to greatness with the best and brightest. When one such man discovers he has a twin brother, he cannot be stopped from finding him.
Once more films have gone into the age old debate of Nature versus Nurture. This film seems to lean towards Nurture as many others do, even though they suggest the opposite early on.
The effects are mainly physical of the old school, but well done. The plot is complicated. The comedy is solid, with a running gag of "You're forgetting the rules". The acting talent is good.
I recommend this film for comedy enthusiasts.
