"Ghost Town" Review
8/10
2008
A David Koepp Film
Protagonist(s): Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear, Téa Leoni
Run-time: 1 hour 42 minutes
When dentist Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) goes in for a routine colonoscopy he dies momentarily because of some anaesthetics error. Upon awakening he soon discovers that he can see and talk to ghosts, and they are desperate for someone to help facilitate their crossing to the other side.
The concept is fascinating, but hardly new. A recent example would be "The Sixth Sense" starring Mr Willis. Despite the implied nudity and occasional crude language of this film, it is far more family friendly.
The plot is good. The acting talent is balanced. The comedy is strained at times but good on average. The effects are relatively simple, but good.
I recommend this film for those who enjoy the 'out of his league' romances, as well as the 'halucination annoyance' addition.
Reviewing different things; food, films, music, books, games etc. It is said that those who can't do; teach. Those who can't teach; critique.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
