"Cowboys & Aliens" Review
10/10
2011
A Jon Favreau Film
Protagonist(s): Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford
Run-time: 1 hour 58 minutes
When a man of questionable moral history wakes up in the desert with no memory and a strange shackle on one arm, he sets out on a terrifying hunt for his past while being hunted by something he does not understand.
What I like about this film is that the aliens featured in the film aren't mindless killing machines with no understanding of the technology they use, nor are they super intelligent with an obsession for neatness and clean lines.
The borderline steampunk technology of the aliens looks almost like it could work, which lends credence to the plot, which makes it a more engaging film.
The plot is good; a classic possey western crossed with Predator. The effects are excellent. The acting talent is excellent.
I recommend this film for any science fiction enthusiast.
