"X-Men 2" Review

"X-Men 2" Review

8/10

2003
A Bryan Singer Film
Protagonist(s): Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Famke Jenssen, James Marsden
Antagonist(s): Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romjin, Brian Cox
Run-time: 2 hours 13 minutes

When a mutant assassin breaks into the White House but fails to complete his mission, the military is given permission to seek out and capture suspected groups of mutants, among which is a school for the Gifted.

The effects have improved since the previous film, and the borders between the Brotherhood of Mutants and the X-Men are blurred and crossed.

The plot is somewhat convoluted, spiced up with super powers, sacrifice and betrayal.

Plenty of fighting, hacking, slashing and gun fire.

I recommend this film to Marvel enthusiasts.
