A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Stargate SG-1" Review
"Stargate SG-1" Review
9/10
1997
Created By: Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright
Protagonist(s): Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Corin Nemec
Seasons on Air: 10
Episode Run-time: 45 minutes
Based around the events which took place on Abydos, and the events which then happened a year later, the United States formed a Command whose sole task was to send people out into the galaxy through the stargates to procure alien technology and alliances which would help protect Earth from hostile alien forces.
I should open by saying that this is and has been in the top five of my favourite television programmes since I discovered it close to thirteen years ago. But then I have always been fascinated with space, aliens and technology, so seeing people of a contemporary age experiencing things which should be impossible and dealing with technology centuries or millennium ahead of us is something of a thrill.
This series has been likened to Star Trek: The Original Series in that they boldly go where no one have gone before, and do their level best to protect not only Earth but the indigenous peoples of the planets they visit during their exploration.
I highly recommend this series.
