"Clifford" Review

"Clifford" Review

8/10

1994
A Paul Flaherty Film
Protagonist(s): Martin Short, Charles Grodin, Mary Steenburgen
Run-time: 1 hour 30 minutes

When on the way to a family vacation Clifford (Martin Short) gets it in his head he wants to visit a theme park. The problem is that the theme park is on the way. He grounds the plane and is dropped off with his Uncle Martin (Charles Grodin) who now has to deal with the unholy hell raiser who stops at nothing to get his way.

Despite his innocent appearance, Clifford is at least ten times worse than Dennis the Menace. (On a side note, I'd like to claim that in this image Martin Short looks a lot like Danny Kaye).

This film seems to be a good example of the kind of role Charles Grodin excells at when he deems fit to grace the silver screen.

The plot is fairly straight forward with some interlooping comedic plot twists. The acting talent is above par.

I recommend this film for any evening where fun is the desired theme.
