A John Lasseter and Ash Brandon and Lee Unkrich Film
Protagonist(s): Tom Hanks, Tim Allen
Antagonist(s): Wayne Knight, Kelsey Grammer
Run-time: 1 hour 32 minutes
When Woody (Tom Hanks) is stolen by a collector (Wayne Knight), the other toys set out on a rescue mission.
As far as sequels go, this film breaks with tradition in not diminishing in quality.
The animation technology has improved massively by this point, but despite this the studio has done a good job in keeping the characters true to their appearance even if they have more expressive faces as a result of more intricate rigging, and the only noticable difference in scenery is that there are more details and life-like interactions with other forces.
I recommend this film not only for an evening of family entertainment but also for budding animators as it shows from the first to the second how big is the leap in technology over a period of only a few years.
