"Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" Review

"Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" Review

7/10

2009
A Mark Waters Film
Protagonist(s): Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Michael Douglas
Run-time: 1 hour 40 minutes

During the night before his brother's wedding, a bachelor is visited by three ghosts sent to make him see the error of his ways.

This is a passable modern version of the classic Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol", with wealth and greed replaced by promiscuity and casual sex.

I would say that the entire thing from start to finish seems a bit rushed. But then I suppose there is a lot of information, and they wanted it all within a more or less normal feature film length. Speaking for my personal preference, I could stand for the film to be longer but it isn't necessary.

While not a great film, it is good enough for an evening of casual entertainment.
