My travel party and I went to visit Lindos, a popular tourist site due to its beaches and historic castle and for some Christians is close to a cove where one of the Apostles sought harbour from a storm, which merits a visit.
For my part it was too hot, humid and crowded. After a few hours of seeing the sights and browsing the countless stalls, we sought a place of nourishment and refreshment. We came across Caesar's on the way down from the ancient structure and agreed to give the noble-sounding name a try.
The Restaurant has inside seating, which was popular and crowded most likely because of shade. It also has seating capacity on the roof where a pool and a bar has been erected. The pool is open for guests to use and is a good way of cooling down.
I had the Moussaka, which was served in a glazed clay pot. It was a disappointment as the eggplant in the dish did not make its presence known other than as a few dark flakes, and the strongest flavour was the meat which looked like corned beef.
The hygiene and service was good.
There is free Wi-Fi, but the connection is spotty at best.
As this was partly an open air restaurant one should expect the occasional insect to approach.
The view is excellent from the roof, the white buildings, artful churches, majestic cliffs, and the cell-phone tower sticking up from a roof a few streets down.
