"The A-Team" Review

8/10

2010
A Joe Carnaham Film
Protagonists: Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Sharlto Copey
Antagonists: Patrick Wilson, Brian Bloom
Run-time: 1 hour 57 minutes / 2 hours 13 minutes (extended version)

A chance team of Army Rangers are framed for crimes they did not commit. Half a year into their sentence they get the chance to make things right.

This modern film version of an old Television series is very entertaining, containing plenty of explosions, guns, cars, tanks, helicopters, and bombers. It contains highly questionable Hollywood physics, confusing allegiances among those who seek to bring in the team of fugitives, intricate plans and adaptive execution of said plans when inevitable hurdles crop up.

There are some differences between the series and film, but those are inconsequential. A few homages are made to the old actors, and even the occasional cameo. It is definitely one of the better made film remake of an old series concept I have seen.

The humour throughout the film is generally harmless, though on a few points it is a little repetitive.

Overall a well worth it film to have or see.
