A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Assassin's Creed: Revelations" Review

"Assassin's Creed: Revelations" Review

9/10

2011
Written By: Oliver Bowden
Published By: Penguin Books
Protagonist(s): Ezio Auditore da Firenze

Many things did not come to be for Ezio. He sacrificed much for the Brotherhood, and in an effort to secure the repository of knowledge supposedly left behind by Altaïr he travelled across the sea and land, only to find the fortress of Masyaf occupied by Templars.

The book follows the general plot of the game much as the other books do. And as with the other books, there are only a few differences which mainly revolve around the free roaming of the player and the consequences thereof.

Ezio is even introduced to new methods of fighting through the Hook Blade and the grenades. Despite his age, the old charmer proves that an old dog can learn new tricks.

Without meaning to, he also manages to develop a romance which endures distress and conflicts.

The book also covers the story told in the animated short film  Assassin's Creed: Embers, though less dramatic. And though it may sound strange, I got a lump in my chest when the book ended.

I recommend the book to anyone, though fans of the game series will get more enjoyment out of it.
