When Martouf arrives at the SGC with news that Major Carter's father and Selmak has been captured, a rescue mission is prepared for Hell.

This episode has plenty of new information, though not all of it useful.

The first being that Sokar has created a Hell on the surface of a moon orbiting his home world. It is where he sends his prisoners to make them suffer for as long as possible. It has a barely breathable atmosphere, and craters filled with bubbling liquid rock.

The second new information is that the memory recall device used by Hathor at the start if the season and the end of the previous season was a Tok'ra device. The Tok'ra consider it invasive to place the memories on display as personal memories may intrude, so only the one who wears the device can see them.

The third bit of information is that the escape pods on a transport vessel, seen earlier this season, are equipped with technology to allow the pods to survive intact through an orbital drop without killing the passenger.

The fourth bit of information is that it is possible to intercept the matter stream of ring devices by placing another set of rings between the intended departure and arrival rings.

The plot is good, the acting talent is good, the effects are good.
