Upon returning to a peaceful world where the climate is controlled by a device, SG-1 is accused of stealing the device. Armed with the information that men wearing clothes like those of the SG-1 and carrying similar weapons, SG-1 returns to Earth to find out who took the device.

There are a few introductions in this episode.

The first being the device which controls the climate of the alien world; the Touchstone. Its exact origins are unknown, but it is pointed out that the Goa'uld do not possess this kind of technology. It does not appear again other than referenced in clip shows.

The second introduction is that there appears to be a rogue Stargate Operation, where the operatives are not as concerned with diplomacy as much as they seek to acquire alien technology regardless of the means required to get it. They will make more appearances throughout the series.

The third introduction is Area 51, The Groom Lake Facility, where all the findings from the SGC are sent for study. It or its scientists or discoveries will be featured later in the series.

The plot is good, the acting talent is good, the special effects are excellent.
