A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.

"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 02, Episode 13, Spirits

During a briefing on a metal which was recently discovered on another planet, Colonel O'Neill is shot with a pure metal arrow when an incoming wormhole is identified as being an approved team and the rest of SG-1 set off to find the missing team and possibly the Native American descendants they believe occupy the world.

Once more greed plays a large part in why things go wrong in this episode. Rather than avoid repeating history, the SGC is ordered to wait for the locals to continue with their migration and then move in to mine the metal ore. The guardians of the locals catch wind of the deception and are therefore not very willing to remain friends.

This is the only episode where we see the aliens introduced, not counting clip shows.

The metal ore introduced is called Trinium, and is in its pure form one hundred times stronger and lighter than steel. This will be referenced later in the series, but will be called an alloy and it will not be revealed where another source is found even when they have one.

The plot is good, the acting talent is good, the effects are more freely used for some things such as the transformation sequences and is not quite as well integrated as other effects.
