"Stargate SG-1" Review Season 01, Episode 07, The Nox
9/10

In a bid to prove that the Stargate Program is worth the funds being funnelled into it, Teal'c reveals knowledge of a creature which has the capability to render itself invisible at will, and which lives on an uninhabited world. When the mission goes wrong, SG-1 discovers that the uninhabited world isn't quite as uninhabited as believed.
This episode introduces the human-like alien species known as the Nox. An advanced race of pacifists and healers who prefer nature to technology, even if they have it.
It is also the first instance of an alien species or human-like race which does not initially speak English.
It is pointed out early in the episode that; like on Earth, people with advanced technology tend not to want to share. This is something of a clue to the direction most interactions with advanced races will take.
The plot is good, the acting talent is good, and the effects are suitably advanced yet not ambitiously so.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
