"Mass Effect" Review
10/10
2007
Developer(s): BioWare, Demiurge Studios, Edge of Reality
Publisher(s): Microsoft Game Studios, Electronic Arts
Genre: Action Role-Playing, Third Person Shooter
Mode(s): Single Player
The year is 2183, Commander Shepard is set to explore the galaxy through Faster Than Light means known as Mass Effect, directed through massive Relays. A dark and ancient secret is uncovered, and suddenly more responsibility than any has had before is heaped on the crew of the Normandy.
I love this game, as is noticeable from the rating score I gave it. It has everything, and I mean everything which makes for a good RPG; intrigue, betrayal, romance, and the chance to kill more digital foes than can be accurately measured.
The player is able to interact with a plethora of devices and Non Player Characters, and can change the tone of conversations to reflect on their desired personality; saintly good or devilishly bad-ass.
The downside is that the conversations take a lot of time, and in order to get the most out of it I recommend trying to coax as many different answers as possible, as there may be vital clues to assignmens and missions hidden in seemingly random comments.
I recommend this game for any science fiction enthusiast and or gamers who enjoyed such games as Halo.
Reviewing different things; food, films, music, books, games etc. It is said that those who can't do; teach. Those who can't teach; critique.

A change has been made in regards to the Adult status of the Blog, due to the reviews on Alcoholic Beverages, and some for the violent games and films reviewed. Wouldn't want to set a bad example.
