"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" Review

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" Review

9/10

1989
A Jeremiah Chechnik Film
Protagonist(s): Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Juliette Lewis, Johnny Galecki
Run-time: 1 hour 37 minutes

The Griswold family is preparing for a big family Christmas celebration. As usual where this family is concerned; things quickly run amuck.

This is one of my favourite Christmas films, as a tradition I watch it every Christmas after all the festivities of the day have passed. On occasion I manage to drag a few family members along before they head home.

I don't think I can reveal much more of the plot without spoiling it all, but beware; Clark Griswald cannot do a simple everyday task without it ending in destruction or discomfort.

I recommend this film as one of the Christmas films you see each year, and perhaps expand the number of people who carry on with the same tradition I've had for over a decade.
