"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" Review

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" Review

8/10

1997
Written By: Joanne K Rowling
Published By: Bloomsbury, Arthur A. Levine Books, Scholastic Press, Raincoast Books
Protagonist(s): Harry Potter

This book follows eleven year old Harry Potter through his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The neglected and bullied Harry Potter is suddenly introduced to a world of magic, wonder and danger. He makes friends and rivals as he learns magic, and learns about the difference between dreams and desperate desires.

The first book in a series of seven (thus far), were made into a series of films, and there have been printed three additional books as described in the series ("Quidditch Through the Ages", "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", "Tales of Beedle the Bard").

I have read this book three or four times already and will likely read it again.

It is recommended.
